Definitions
For the purposes of this license:
- “SOLEA PIXEL” refers to the original creators and rights holders of the content.
- “Content” refers to all creations published by SOLEA PIXEL, including: mods, modpacks, resource packs, addons, the launcher, and any associated assets, code, or files.
- “Launcher” refers specifically to the SOLEA PIXEL Minecraft launcher.
- “Modpack” refers to any distributed collection of mods and configurations.
- “User” refers to any individual or entity using the Content.
- “Distribution” refers to sharing, uploading, mirroring, or redistributing Content.
- “Commercial Use” refers to any use intended for monetary gain (paid access, subscriptions, monetized services, etc.).
General permissions
You are allowed to:
- Use the Content for personal use.
- Create content (videos, streams, social media) featuring SOLEA PIXEL Content.
- Modify Content strictly for private use only.
- Use SOLEA PIXEL Content in personal projects (respecting this license).
Attribution requirement
If you publicly use or showcase SOLEA PIXEL Content, you must:
- Clearly credit SOLEA PIXEL.
- Provide a direct link to the official download page (GitHub, Modrinth, or CurseForge).
- Clearly indicate which SOLEA PIXEL Content is used.
Failure to provide proper attribution is a violation of this license.
Launcher restrictions
The SOLEA PIXEL Launcher is strictly protected.
Not allowed
- Redistribute unofficial copies of the Launcher.
- Modify, fork, or reuse the Launcher code for redistribution.
- Create derivative launchers.
- Use the Launcher in misleading or deceptive ways.
Allowed
- Forking the repository only for viewing or contributing via pull requests.
Any other use requires explicit permission.
Modpack terms
Allowed
- Modify a Modpack for personal use only.
Not allowed
- Redistribute any SOLEA PIXEL Modpack (modified or not).
- Create and publish similar or derivative modpacks based on SOLEA PIXEL concepts.
- Use Modpacks for Commercial Use.
Included mods and assets remain under their original licenses. In case of conflict, original authors’ licenses take priority.
Mods, resource packs & other content
Not allowed
- Redistribute Content (full or partial) outside official platforms.
- Upload Content to unauthorized websites or mirrors.
- Extract or reuse assets (textures, models, code, etc.).
- Use the Content for Commercial Use (e.g. paid servers).
Commercial use exception: allowed only if a written agreement is granted by SOLEA PIXEL.
Authorized distribution platforms
SOLEA PIXEL Content may only be distributed on:
- Official GitHub repositories
- Official Modrinth pages
- Official CurseForge pages
Any other distribution is prohibited unless explicitly authorized.
Commercial use policy
Strictly prohibited
- Paid Minecraft servers using SOLEA PIXEL Content.
- Selling access to Content.
- Monetizing Content directly.
Allowed
- YouTube videos, Twitch streams, and social media content — as long as the Content itself is not sold or paywalled.
No warranty (disclaimer)
The Content is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind.
SOLEA PIXEL is not responsible for damage caused by use of the Content, data loss, or software conflicts or issues. Use at your own risk.
License updates
SOLEA PIXEL reserves the right to modify this license at any time. Continued use of the Content implies acceptance of the updated terms.
Enforcement & violations
Violation of this license may result in immediate termination of usage rights and requests for content removal (DMCA or equivalent).
Legal jurisdiction
This license is governed by the laws of France.
